  • Base jacks are considered one of the most important components as they are used at the base of scaffolding towers to level the tower and provide stability.
  • Often referred to as uprights, the standards assist in transferring the weight of the scaffold tower to the ground where they rest on the base jacks.
  • Running horizontally between the standards are ledgers, adding additional support and assisting in distributing the load-bearing weight. The placement of the ledgers defines the height of the working platforms.
